Too bad nobody had the balls to stand up and help the uprising.

@uytfvbnmkoiuy the Chinese gov. ran TV stations back then. Why would they want to tell people that they killed hundreds of their own people. Communist governments try to keep the people in the dark about their bad judgements or anyone that opposes their beliefs. Just look at what’s been going on in Iran.

Well, I think the biggest moment in 1989 was the fall of the Berlin Wall. But thats just me.

i lived and worked in china, and it’s my favorite country in the world, more so then my own.The people are hardworking, friendly and peaceful. This tragedy is a disgrace, but china has changed since then, the government is not as strict. The only thing it needs to do now is maintain its balance and not let third parties take advantage.peace

the best evidence that the CCP was using this policy is right in the news report. the reporter says that the unit based in Beijing was remaining in their baracks as a “protest.” not quite. the Beijing troops were ordered to stay put for fear they would refuse their orders or worse, join the protesters. the Soviets used Siberian troops to crush revolts in Hungary, Czech & Poland. France used rural troops against the Paris Commune. Even the US had to use Midwest troops to end the NY Draft Riots.

for people wondering how (or even if) Chinese soldiers could kill their own countrymen, here’s how. The CCP used the same method pioneered by the Soviets. When you are faced with a revolt, you NEVER send in local troops b/c they will inevitably be sympathetic to their neighbors and know the true situation. Governments always bring in troops from as far away as possible, w/ no connections to the city, who are then told that mobs of traitors are trying to overthrow the gov.
