If you never agree with me on anything else, I know you’ll agree that viruses and the time it takes for your antivirus software to find and eliminate them sucks. But, until someone creates a program that instantly detects viruses and destroy them, this is something we all have to live with. But, there is one thing we can do to fight against these harmful men made creations.
Bugs on computers have been a problem since the beginning. They’ve cause all kinds of problems including small problems like slowing down computers to bigger ones like crashing whole networks. Because of this, a new industry was created and is making billions every year. I’m talking about the anti- harmful bug/spying/etc market.
These companies number in the hundreds all across the world. From familiar place like the United States of American, China, the United Kingdom to Finland, Russia, South Africa, and India. Basically there is at less a hand full of companies in every major country on the planet.
There is a way to hedge against spending $30 to $50 of more on software. (1) You can get a free or Open Source AntiVirus program. [Example: Clamwin Free Antivirus , ClamAV , or AVG Basic (2) You can scan files before opening them. I like to us Filterbit , VirusTotal R|H TOP CHOICE, Virscan and VirusChief (3) Or get a broswer with a antivirus program add-on. [Example: Dr.Web anti-virus link checker, Norton Add-On Pack , or McAfee Security Alerts , etc.
But, the thing is you may still need one good antivirus software like Norton, Mcafee or BitDefender Antivirus. This is becasuse they simple work well. And isn’t that what we want? What’s 10 minutes -give or take- compared to the value of a health computer? It should be like a walk is the park compared to the frustration of losing work, important information, or worst your whole computer.
